Every Ingredient Begins with a Purpose
We believe thoughtful formulation begins long before ingredients are selected, beginning instead with an understanding of what we wish to care for. For us, that is the scalp. Every ingredient is chosen for the role it plays within a formulation and the contribution it makes to caring for the environment in which hair grows. Nothing is included by habit, and nothing is included simply because it is familiar; every ingredient must justify its presence. Saffron and argan are part of our formulations for that exact reason, not because they are celebrated ingredients, but because they contribute to the balance of the formulations in which they belong. Their value is measured by function rather than reputation.
Formulating with Restraint
A formulation is rarely defined by one ingredient alone. It is shaped by the relationship between many. Some ingredients help cleanse. Some help maintain comfort.
